Dinky donkey alert!

Another Shadow model arrived last week. That's eight now in total (five equines and three dogs) in just two and a half months. Yes, it seems I have a bit of a problem...

Little Bernie the donkey takes the cuteness to new levels. I couldn't resist having a bit of a photoshoot with him the other day and making the most of his fully poseable body!

Here he is settling into his new stall in the pony barn.

After a while, he relaxed a little and started tucking into his haynet. Stable pups Anwen and Bolt came along to say hi to the newbie.

The next morning Bernie was taken out to the paddock for the first time. Here he is sniffing the air to find out about all the other horses and donkeys nearby.

This is him realising that the yard photographer had some rather tasty treats in their pocket.

I mean... how could you say no to that face?! Our photographer certainly couldn't.

All the commotion brought over Bernie's field neighbour Dave, to find out what was going on. Of course, friendly little Bernie went over to say hi!

Isn't he a doll? I think Bernie definitely needs another donkey buddy to keep him company though.
